Our Purpose & Aims

Championing, promoting, and advocating for small multicultural businesses.

Stand Behind Our Members

Giving our community a collective voice. We help members grow professionally through networking, skills development, mentoring, and access to programs.

Special Entertainment Precinct

Actively advocating for an expanded night-time and entertainment economy that reflects the energy, culture, and life of our vibrant community.

A Must-Visit Destination

Running campaigns that put Cabramatta on the map. We back strategic projects that advance cultural expression, economic resilience, and social inclusion.

The Cultural Advisory Council

“Wisdom comes in many forms.”

We have established a Cultural Advisory Council (CAC) — a group of respected community voices guiding the cultural dimensions of our work. The table reflects the full richness of our community: elders, cultural practitioners, religious leaders, artists, and advocates.

  • ✓ Bringing deep cultural knowledge and lived experience.
  • ✓ Ensuring decisions are genuinely connected to the community.
  • ✓ Outspoken champions of diversity and inclusion.

Governance & Transparency

We are a registered Not-for-Profit incorporated under the Associations Incorporation Act 2009 (NSW). Every dollar we earn is used to advance our purposes.

We maintain clear records and make our financial statements and Constitution available to our members.

The committee makes day-to-day decisions. Significant changes to our rules require a special resolution (75% agreement) by members at a general meeting with 14 days’ notice.

We can raise money through fees, donations, grants, and cultural partnerships. The Treasurer oversees day-to-day finances, and if annual revenue exceeds $500,000, we undertake independent audits.

Everyone is expected to act with honesty, integrity, and respect for the cultures that make our community who we are. Conflicts of interest must be disclosed. We do not tolerate actions that bring the association into disrepute.
